The Philippine Institute of Chemical Engineers (PIChE) is currently the only Accredited Integrated Professional Organization (AIPO) for all duly licensed Chemical Engineers in the Philippines. Membership to PIChE is automatic as it is incidental to the issuance of your ChE license, as provided in Art. IV Sec. 33 of RA 9297.

Membership to PIChE is exclusively through any of its duly accredited Chapters such as PIChE Cebu. No member may be affiliated with more than one chapter. While your membership is secured and protected by law, the state of your membership is depended on the payment of the required dues.

There only two fees you need to think about.

• The initial fee of ₱1,000.00 which fully goes to the National Board of Trustees (NBOT) is for your initial admission to PIChE
• The annual fee of ₱500.00, in which ₱300.00 goes to the NBOT and the remaining ₱200.00 goes to us

Your membership status in PIChE Cebu is classified accordingly to:

• ACTIVE
  You are an active member for a said year if you have paid the annual fee. This allows you to enjoy the privileges afforded to members such as but not limited to CPD points in our affiliated events, registration discounts, and access to various opportunities made available to and by us.
• GOOD STANDING
  You are a member in Good Standing if you meet the following criteria:
  1. No outstanding dues and other financial obligations
  2. Active PRC License by the end of the said year
  3. Has a duly issued dry seal by the 5th year of being a Chemical Engineer

Currently, the Professional Regulation Commission is processing the requirement of Membership in Good Standing prior to the renewal of the ChE license. We highly recommend you comply with the requisites of Good Standing before this is takes effect.

A Professional Dry Seal is a tool you use to emboss your professional identificaton to any document or form. This act of "sealing" certifies that the said document conforms to the legislation relating to the practice of Chemical Engineering and serves as the principal legal assurance of and by the bearer of the document.

RA 9297 provides the regulation and issuance of the dry seal. The Professional Regulatory Board of Chemical Engineering has delegated exclusive issuance of the dry seal to PIChE through its Chapters.

Rejoice! We bring you good news! The Board of Directors instituted a Condonation Program effective until Dec 31, 2024 to encourage and expedite your journey of becoming members in Good Standing here in PIChE Cebu! The program is very straightforward and simple:

1. All previously unpaid dues will be forgiven for a fee of only ₱1,000.00.
2. The said member promises, through a written undertaking, that he/she will not incur a delinquent payment moving forward.

This condonation fee, on top of your annual fee and initial fee (if applicable) must be settled within this year.
